 If elected, I will put Independence residents and local businesses first. When new projects arise, we should look locally—employing our small businesses, contractors, tradespeople, and workforce right here in Independence. Investing locally keeps our dollars in the community, strengthens our economy, and builds pride in the work we do together.

Independence has been blessed with dedicated, talented city employees who keep our community running every day. To attract and retain the best people, we must recognize their value by offering fair pay, strong benefits, and opportunities to grow. Just as important, our employees deserve clear communication and timely information so they can do their jobs effectively. When we support our city employees, we strengthen the services our residents rely on.  

The Independence Fire Department has built strong relationships within our community by prioritizing education and fire safety. If elected, I will ensure they have the proper funding, staffing, and equipment to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, and to attract and retain the highly skilled professionals our community depends on.

If elected, I will strongly support the Independence Police Department and ensure officers have the resources they need to keep our community safe. To attract and retain the best, we must provide well-maintained equipment and competitive pay. I am fully committed to the safety of both our community and the officers who serve it
